Coronavirus QR Code for proof of vaccination or negative test

In order to travel, and to access certain events and hospitality locations (depending on current regulations), you will need to prove your Coronavirus vaccination status, or provide proof of a recent negative test. This is done through secure QR codes. These can be printed, or viewed via the Dutch government's CoronaCheck App. When travelling (for example), your QR code will be scanned and local authorities will be able to check your vaccination or test status.

Vaccinated/tested in the Netherlands

If you were vaccinated in the Netherlands, you will be able to either login to coronatest.nl, or download the CoronaCheck app. Once you have done this, a QR code will be generated and you can use this across the Netherlands and the EU.

Vaccinated/tested in another EU country (or a country with a reciprocal agreement with the EU)

If you were vaccinated in another EU country, you can use the QR code issued in that country in the Netherlands. This is the case for several non-EU countries that have reciprocal agreements to recogniseQR codes. There are currently 35 non-EU countries with these agreements. You can check the full list here.

Vaccinated in a non-EU country with no reciprocal agreement

If you were vaccinated, or received a booster, in a country that does not have a reciprocal QR code agreement with the EU (or you would like to have all your QR codes in the Dutch CoronaCheck app), you can have your proof of vaccination converted and checked by the Dutch health authorities.

To do this, you will need to attend an appointment at the local health board (GGD) in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Groningen; and in some other areas. To book an appointment, ring +31 (0) 30 800 2899. For more information, see the Dutch government's website.
